Funicular ride to Pergamon’s Acropolis, strolling around what remains of wonderful ancient monuments, making a wish, then walking the ancient way down to the foot of the high hill to visit other sites in Bergama.

Where Carla travels by metro and bus from Selçuk to Bergama by way of Aliağa, fortuitously steps off the bus to find the hotel close by and spends the rest of the afternoon soaking in its delightful rooftop swimming pool, ancient Pergamon shimmering atop its high hill in the distance.

Back to the center of Ephesos, to see its buildings and streets in the bright morning sun and visit the terrace houses. Then to the now desolate Ancient Wonder of the Artemision. After which a walk by the old way up to the Isa Bey Mosque, St. John’s Basilica, the Castle and the acqueduct.
