Turkey (or Türkiye as it should be properly spelled) is an absolutely fabulous country in which to travel, explore and live. You have everything here, from high and snowy mountain retreats to sun-blasted desert; from one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities to the simplest of villages; from the most ancient of places to the gleaming structures of today. And everything in between.
Thanks to Türkiye’s location, its many cultures and its extremely warm, generous and welcoming people you will find the country captivating. The food is a delight without end, the quality of traditional artisan work is exceptional, and places to stay are good for any size of pocket. Travelling from place to place is very easy and amazingly economical. It is also very safe, though one should take precautions as in all other countries. Language can be an issue; Google Translate on your phone is the best solution – everyone here seems to. Once you start travelling and discovering Türkiye, you just can’t stop.
